Small World Labs Seeks a Great Bookkeeper / Office Administrator / Sales & Marketing Assistant (Combination Position) Recruiters please do not apply.This is a direct for hire position Small World Labs seeks a great Bookkeeper/Administrator Administrator / Sales & Marketing Assistant for an Austin-based software company.This is a combination position that will oversee bookkeeping and office management, as well as assist the sales & marketing teams.Effective bookkeeping skills are the priority, but there is opportunity to expand the role.Applicants must be very proficient with Quick Books & Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook) as well as have some visual design skills. Small World Labs provides an online community platform suite which includes a base of social networking capabilities layered with additional value added communication, collaboration, and social media technologies.Our unique approach is to combine technology and online community building expertise to create successful online communities for our customers, which include Dallas Morning News, San Diego Union Tribune, British Telecom, Scottrade, Save the Children, and CMP, amongst others. REQUIREMENTS: -- Minimum 2 years QuickBooks experience -- Minimum 4 years experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook -- Financial management skills including paying payroll and other company taxes -- Experience preparing PowerPoint presentation and Word Documents -- Experience with visual editing programs, including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator -- Must be detail-oriented and extremely organized -- Strong interpersonal skills, sense of professionalism, and very positive attitude -- Strong written and verbal communications RESPONSIBILITIES: -- Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable and follow up on customer payments due -- Prepare customer invoices and manage invoicing process -- Run company payroll and administer company payroll, sales, and other taxes -- Create company forecasts and financial models in Excel -- Write checks, prepare journal entries, and reconcile bank statements -- Assist sales and marketing teams with the creation of company presentations and collateral -- Manage human resource items (health insurance, forms, etc.) -- Order office supplies and assist other company employees with purchasing and vender contracts for company equipment -- Attend to phones and visitors -- Assist other groups as necessary POSITION DETAILS Full time, salaried position including benefits Salary range: $35,000 - $45,000 depending on skills and experience
