Degree Requirements: BA/BS degree and 2-5 years experience preferred Position Description: The Information Technology Network & Education Specialist will provide hands-on technical support for our administrators, faculty, staff and students at three campus locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for network administration/infrastructure support; research, recommendations and implementation of new technologies for network and applications, and cost-savings strategies. He/ she will be responsible for design and management of a secure interactive school website/ e-mail system and the introduction of technology into the classrooms and curriculum. This position supports administrators, faculty, staff and students with their technology needs including email, printers, Operating Systems, wireless and wired networking, common software applications, password and account management, and the installation of computer software. We are seeking a candidate who has the vision and experience to create a Technology Strategic Plan in coordination with the Headmaster and his Administrative team. Requirements: The successful candidate's should have a BA/BS degree and 2-5 years of proven experience in computer troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades, networking, system documentation, and website design. Troubleshooting ability includes handling complex hardware and software problems in Macintosh OS X, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows Server 2003. Qualified applicants must be well versed in Macs using Microsoft Office. Experience in an independent school setting and/or professional certifications are preferred candidate credentials. Good team skills, organizational and time management skills are essential along with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects, and be able to work under pressure. The candidate must have a strong customer service orientation and excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written; and the ability to work collaboratively as well as being a self-starter capable of working independently. This is a 12-month position beginning August 11, 2008 which can be renewed each year based on performance. We offer a competitive salary, benefits package, living and housing stipend, two and a half months paid vacation based on the school calendar, and transportation to and from the school. The position requires a Masters in Education. If you do not have one, the school will pay for half of the Masters in Education which is offered through Bridgewater State College at the school.
