Reminisce and Write Group May Meeting
Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 3:00PM

If you have ever wanted to try journal writing, here is an opportunity. We will discuss and do journaling, and then share our writing in the group. As Oprah says, we all have a story. Here is your chance to get started on yours. You will tell and hear about the interesting, exciting, funny, or enlightening things that have happened to us. As baby boomers, and more, we all will have many remembrances as we each read from our journals at the meetings. Traditionally, journaling started as a way of therapy but this group is about having fun with journaling--no "therapy" here. Instead, this will be journaling to re-create, and especially to remember and share, the funny, interesting, unique things that have happened to you. Each person's shared stories will bring back things you thought you had forgotten. Remember TP'ing the coach's house? Going to a Hootenany or Woodstock? Joining a Freedom March? Or just "going" to the outhouse down the hill. What's your favorite story? Whether you journal for yourself, to be part of a bigger picture (i.e., to get you on way way to writing a book), or to give to the special people in your life as a remembrance or personal gift, this group will get you motivated and directed. Come have fun as we relive "the good (and not so good) old days."

Meeting fee: $2.00
