City of Georgetown SCADA Technician.Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Electrical Division's Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA) hardware and operations software, which allows for control of the city's electric, water, wastewater and pumping systems. Perform programming and troubleshooting as necessary and assists with maintenance of the SCADA system's other remote units. Devise and/or locate methods and tools to allow Utilities Department users/operators to meet their informational/operational needs. Operate and maintain the SCADA system for optimal system control of the electric, water, waste water, and pumping systems. Coordinate and present training for other Utility Department personal as needed. Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, Electrical Communications, Computer systems, or related field, and one to three years experience required. Experience with Windows NT, Lotus, and MS Office, Wonderware, as well as being adept with the Internet or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
